History

How we were 1902, the first store
The special relationship that la Tosteria has with coffee began in the central Piazza della Beata (now Piazza Cavour) in Signa, a small town outside Florence; it was the distant 1902 when the Ambuchi family opened a small but well-stocked coffee and roaster shop in which the best coffees were roasted and sold at retail along with tea, colonial product line, jams and spices.

Coffee from all around the world
The fellow citizens soon relished the quality of the coffee imported from the best sources: the famous Santos from Brazil, the delicate Kenya and Ethiopia Sidamo from Africa, the aromatic Supremo from Colombia, the embracing Plantation from India, the great cru Blue Mountain and Yauco Selecto from Jamaica and Puerto Rico. Well cared was the selection of the best coffees from Cuba, Mexico, Santo Domingo, El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua.
