THE MAIN COFFEES THAT MAKE UP THE BLEND

Mexico Santa Cruz Chiapas BIO

Producers in the Fraylesca region of Mexican Chiapas grow their coffees in the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, a biodiversity-rich cloud forest. The warm and humid climate, abundant rainfall and stable temperatures make the region ideal for coffee, whose cultivation is spread over an area of 1,414 hectares at an altitude between 900 and 1800 a.s.l. The Unión Ramal Santa Cruz Fairtrade Organic guarantees Organic certification to their 492 members of the cooperative, providing technical, financial and agronomic services and monitoring compliance with rigorous rules to ensure the quality and traceability of their coffees. In the cup the coffee is full-bodied and enveloping, with fruity and floral aromas, fine acidity and notes of orange peel; the aftertaste is persistent with hints of caramelized citrus fruits.

Perù Pichanaqui Chanchamayo BIO

The Peruvian mountain region of Chanchamayo enjoys an ideal climate for growing coffee given its moderate temperatures and abundant rainfall. Local producers adopt sustainable practices, paying particular attention to the quality of the coffee grown, which is delivered as soon as it is harvested to the local Grano de Oro cooperative, which processes them in compliance with organic procedures. Thanks to the passion of the farmers and the services offered by the cooperative, the coffee produced by the 86 members reaches high peaks of quality, developing a rich and intense flavor in the cup, notes of cocoa and blackberry jam, low acidity and good body, a prolonged aftertaste with hints of almond.

Tanzania Karagwe BIO

This certified organic Robusta coffee comes from the Karagwe region, north-west Tanzania, on the borders with Uganda and Rwanda. Cultivated between 1200 and 1800 meters a.s.l. and protected by trees, it is harvested by hand and dried naturally in the sun. The Kaderes Peasants Development Plc. cooperative, which processes the coffees of more than 4,000 small producers in the region, provides its members with training on sustainable agricultural practices to improve quality and productivity. The cooperative, reinvesting part of its profits, has created an elementary school that hosts 293 children, two agro-education centers and 14 wells serving the community. We are particularly happy to use the cooperative's coffees, which enrich the blend with hints of dark chocolate, nougat, toast and nuts.
